Our regional technical schools, colleges and universities all play a role in feeding the technology talent pipeline. As a region and as a nation, we have and continue to undergo a rapid technological transformation. The role of technology plays in our society and our wealth creation has accelerated.

Many programming and other technical jobs have moved off shore, while more complex technology jobs have been created that are a cross over of many disciplines that require leadership, business, vertical industry expertise, and technical know-how.  

All citizens possess the need for technology skills, but we also need to educate a huge number of people in how to apply technology to ensure our global competitiveness of our businesses.  We also need to support our innovative technologists in achieving their visions via entrepreneurship or support them within corporations by nurturing innovation.
